A leading manufacturer of specialty ceramic products is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for their plant located near Longview, TX. The CI Engineer will lead efforts and projects to improve both manufacturing and support processes. He or she will also train other employees to use Lean Manufacturing tools suck as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and 5S. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will have full support from the management team. A 4-year Engineering degree from an accredited university is required, along with at least 3 years experience leading continuous improvement efforts in a heavy manufacturing environment. There is also a requirement for experience with statistically designed experiments (DOE), SPC and root cause analysis. Project management and communication skills are critical to this position. Travel (Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
