Compensation Analyst

Analyzes compensation data within the organization and evaluates job positions to determine classification and salary. Ensures compliance with applicable laws.
Position Responsibilities: Essential Duties
1.Work with Director of Compensation on a variety of projects including salary surveys, analysis, and program design; prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions (to include appropriate base pay), merit increases, salary increase requests and salary scales.
2.Research job and worker requirements, structural and functional relationships among jobs and occupations, as well as occupational trends.
3.Assist with development and documentation procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4.Assist in forecasting budgets for salary increases.
5.Stay current with and take action to ensure companys compliance with new laws impacting compensation and/or benefits.
6.Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education
Five (5) years of experience within compensation.
Knowledge of economic factors and laws (FLSA) affecting compensation for exempt and non-exempt employees.
Knowledge of HRIS systems.
Understanding of the job evaluation process (determine worth of a job) and the use of salary survey tools (used to determine what is being paid in the market).
Knowledge of federal and state laws governing the compensation and benefits package the company offers, along with required rules and regulations and reporting processes.
Knowledge of payroll systems/software.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent customer support focus
Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education
Compensation experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
2 year degree from an accredited college or university, 4 year degree preferred.
CCP Preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
