CDL Laborer
The CDL Laborer is responsible for assisting the Equipment Operators and Foreman with essential tasks in order to complete the job order. The CDL Laborer is responsible for unloading and loading equipment, digging holes with a hand shovel and locating existing utilities, preparing cable routes, feeding cable, securing the job site, placing signs where directed and completing various other tasks as assigned by the Operator(s) and Foreman. The CDL Laborer is undergoing on the job training to learn how to operate equipment, read prints and to understand all phases of utility construction while performing manual labor on the job site.
The CDL Laborer will use his/her CDL to move equipment from one job to the next. Experience driving semi is preferred.
Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have an insurance-acceptable driver's license, Class A CDL required, be willing to travel 4 - 5 nights a week, and able to perform manual labor. Must also pass a pre-employment drug test.
Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, extreme heat, & extreme cold) and wear hard hat, safety vest, and protective footwear.
Hotel and/or per diem may be offered when travel is required.
A competitive salary and benefits package is available.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or post high school training desired
EOE by AAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
