CAD Designer
Joy Global brings advanced equipment, systems and direct services to the global mining industry. We are currently looking to add a CAD Designer at our Longview, TX manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
Works independently or with others to design and document components for Joy Global products.
Lays out components and prepares mechanical drawings.
Develops bills of materials, documentation, and provides support for other departments
Ensures that designs conform to industry standards, company standards, and good engineering practice
Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information. Collects and researches data. Uses intuition and experience to compliment data.
Design - Generates creative solutions. Translates concepts and information into images. Uses feedback to modify designs. Applies design principles. Demonstrates attention to detail.
Technical Skills - Assesses own strengths and weaknesses. Pursues training and development opportunities. Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Shares expertise with others.
Judgment - Displays willingness to make decisions. Exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Supports and explains reasoning for decisions. Includes appropriate people in decision-making process. Makes timely decisions.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) in Computer Aided Drafting, or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred;
A minimum of five years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
