Summary: The Director of Nursing is accountable for managing the day-to-day agency operations to ensure the following: operational efficiencies, quality of patient care, regulatory compliance, support of business development & patient base growth, achievement of key performance indicators and people management/development. The Director of Nursing supervises the clinical staff. Direct responsibility of ensuring the agency meets applicable Federal, State and local laws regarding the certification and licensure process at all times. Responsible for long range planning, fiscal viability and quality of care provided by the branch. Recruits, interviews and hires staff and monitors quality care and organizational performance. Assist other disciplines in coordinating activities when necessary, assuming responsibility for continuity, appropriateness and quality of services delivered. Utilizing software review care plans, admissions, recertifications, and discharges to home health and hospice. The Director of Nursing will have primary responsibility for leadership and supervision to ensure that key bench mark indicators are met. Able and willing to assume role of Administrator as required.
Develops and monitors a process to monitor appropriate utilization of services
Review admission, recertifications, and discharges.
Directs the implementation of service goals and objectives. Develops standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families
Monitor caseloads and provides leadership in peak periods
Monitors clinical record review process. Case coordination oversight.
Develops plan for ongoing in-services and staff development. Develops parameters, establishes best practices and teaches field nurses the agency standards.
Manages ongoing education for clinical staff -- keeping program personnel up-to-date with clinical information including orientation, in-service education and continuing education.
Collaborates in the development of an effective and efficient client care documentation system including statistical compilation and analysis relative to cost and staff service delivery.
Coordinates Quality Improvement activities with timely implementation of corrective action plans and ongoing monitors
Manages the coding process.
Manages all programs including home health and hospice.
Serves on and periodically reviews policies relevant to patient care with the Advisory Committee
Directs and participates with on call system for after hours care.
Knowledge of software system HomeCare HomeBase of similar.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of Associate's degree with equivalent experience required.
Graduate from accredited school of nursing.
Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Medicare certified Home Health and/or Hospice environment with progressively more responsibility.
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience as ADON or DON of Home Health agency.
Current driver's license.
Must have reliable transportation and insurance.
Meet state and federal requirements for Director of Nursing and Administrator.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
