Summary:
Responsible for development, revision and application of procedures applicable, such as those pertaining to product specifications, customer specific specifications, sales specifications, product approval process (new and revised formulations), sampling procedures, and shipment approval process, as assigned.
Coordinate release of shipment for finished product, as assigned, i.e. works with production, production planning, technical service, and sales to determine disposition of product, e.g. ship as-is, rework, regrade, or seek customer concession.
Utilize job knowledge, through analysis and interpretation of data and/or other information, by making recommendations to various levels within the organization, i.e. recommendations such as suitable disposition of product, process or product improvements, etc.
Create, revise or delete specifications (production, shipping, customer specific and sales), as assigned, after coordination of approval process.
Issue and maintain documents and records, including approvals and approval dates, for production, shipping, sales and customer specific specifications, Formula Sheets for new, revised or experimental formulas, and sampling plans for products, as assigned.
Maintain sales specification documents for availability, in one location, to company personnel, as assigned.
Understand how the various formula documents (Formula Sheets, in-process specifications, finished product specifications, etc.) are related and, when multiple documents are affected in any way, understands the need for coordination of review and, potentially, approval of revisions.
Perform transactions related to Quality Assurance Specialist job functions in the current version of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP).
Backs up the other Quality Assurance Specialist, as assigned.
Participates in Quality Management Process (QMP) activities.
Qualifications:
College degree preferred.
High school diploma minimal education required.
With high school diploma, or college degree in non-laboratory related field, 5 years minimum work experience in a polymers lab is required.
With technical college or two year degree in laboratory related field, 3 years minimum work experience in a polymers lab is required.
With Bachelor of Science degree in laboratory/chemistry related field or higher, 2 years minimum work experience in a polymers lab.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
