Vehicle Description 1982 Datsun 280zx (Inline-6, 5-speed manual, Dark Metallic Brown with Suede/Leather seats) This 280zx is being offered on consignment.
The current owners purchased the vehicle in 2003, they are the third owners of this car.
It has been garage kept and is in great mechanical condition! We have photographed the car outside in the sunlight and indoors to give you an accurate depiction of the condition of the car and show off that iconic 80's metallic brown paint and gold pinstripes.
(The body lines of these 280zx's are exciting to say the least.
) The current owners have done their best to keep the car as original and correct as possible, though a good deal of mechanical maintenance has gone into the car, making it very easy to operate and giving the driver a feeling of reliability.
Based on receipts the owner has provided and their recollection, the following things have been replaced or repaired on the car in recent years:
- Tune-up - Front & Rear Shocks Replaced - Struts Replaced - Clutch Replaced - Pressure Plate Replaced - Clutch Hydraulic lines Replaced - Clutch Reservoir Replaced - Throw-out Bearing Replaced - New Transmission Seal and Fluid Flush - Rear Main Seal Replaced - Front and Rear Stabilizer Bar Bushings Replaced - Rack & Pinion Insulator Replaced - Cooling system Flushed - New Thermostat - Fresh oil change - Fuel Filter Replaced - New Windshield & seals - Fuel line replacement - Aftermarket Muffler - Brake Lines Replaced - Rear Calipers Replaced - Front Bearing Seals replaced and regreased - Added a Kenwood AM/FM/CD player with speakers and amplifier - All tires were replaced in 2018 (Of course, most of this is what you should maintenance on a forty year old car with 71,000 miles, but for many classic cars a lot of these things are often neglected.
) The AC/Heat system and the power function of the antenna are currently inoperable.
Overall the car is beautiful and the trim is in great condition.
The paint, body and trim are all original with the exception of the windshield.
The wheels have no signs of curb rash and that charming voice of the lady telling you the door is open or the key is still in the car is a cool reminder of 1982 cutting edge technology.
