This banjo has a Gibson RB-250 pot assembly (early 80s) with an aftermarket 5-string maple neck. The pot looks to be all original with the exception of the armrest and Remo pre-EPA head. The resonator has some age cracks in the binding. All solid though with no missing pieces, etc. It does have some minor dings and scratches in the finish. The neck, although it plays out fine, has had a pretty rough life. There's a crack at the head stock that's been repaired (very stable). It has some pretty major scuffs on the front of the head stock. These likely came from D tuners. It once had cam-style D tuners but those holes have been plugged. Not pretty at all in that area. Just being honest here. It has a nice, slim profile. It's a bit narrower than the genuine Gibson necks that I'm familiar with. Someone carved a few initials in the fret board down around the 20th-22nd frets. Not that noticeable. The nickel plated hardware has the normal tarnishing from age and use. The tailpiece is stamped " Gibson" Tuners are nothing special (imports) but they work just fine. No issues at all there. I have a practically brand new hard case to ship it in. I'm happy to provide more pics and answer any questions. No refunds or returns. Note: there's no label or serial number present. The number left with the original neck.
